Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki’s penultimate event of the year will see featherweight champion Salahdine Parnasse and Sebastian Rajewski go head-to-head for the promotion’s interim lightweight championship.
All 18 fighters on the nine-fight card, including the two main event fighters. The main event was originally going to see Marian Ziolkowski defend her lightweight belt, but a knee injury caused the champion to pull out. As a result, Parnasse (18-1) will now face Rajewski (12-7) in his place.
Parnasse, the pride of France, has been on a roll. Having won his last three fights and avenging his only loss to Daniel Torres , the featherweight champion defended his title against Daniel Rutkowski earlier this year and will look to go 2-0 at 257 as he claims a second KSW title. Parnasse officially weighed in at 136 pounds at the point.
Though much less decorated than his opponent, Rajewski is coming out challenging for the lightweight title. Earlier this year, the Polish fighter lost a unanimous decision to Ziolkowski. He will now have a chance to stage a rematch and bounce back from the loss. Despite his pedestrian record, Rajewski has won eight of his last bouts and also weighed in at exactly 156 pounds.
